Trade press, category education and the slow work of being known by the people who actually buy from you.
B2B press is a different job to consumer press
Consumer PR chases reach. B2B PR chases the right forty people. A feature in a trade title with nine thousand readers can be worth more than a national hit, because those nine thousand are buyers, specifiers and the people your prospects read before they take a call.
That changes what gets pitched, who it goes to, and how we judge whether it worked. Volume of coverage is the wrong measure in B2B and we will not report it as though it were the right one.
What the work looks like
- Trade and vertical press relationships in your category, not a generic media list
- Thought leadership that says something — a position, a number, an argument a reader could disagree with
- Executive visibility: bylines, panels, podcasts and award submissions
- Launch and funding announcements handled so they land on a day that suits you
- Category education, for a product the market does not yet have a name for
- Analyst and specialist briefings, where your sector has them
Proof, when the sales cycle runs nine months
The honest difficulty with B2B PR is attribution. A buyer reads a trade feature in March and fills in a form in November, and no dashboard connects the two. We would rather say that than sell you a number that implies otherwise.
What we do instead: track coverage against the accounts and segments you are targeting, watch referral traffic and branded search for movement, and ask your sales team the question that actually matters — are prospects arriving already knowing who you are?
Nashville, and wherever your buyers are
We are based in Nashville and work with businesses here and elsewhere. B2B media is national or global by nature, so the location that matters is your buyers’, not ours. There is more on the team who would run the account.
Tell us who you need to reach
Give us the category, the buyer and the timeline. We will come back with a view on whether press is the right spend, and what it would look like.
